INDUSTRY NIGHT (2021)

Multidisciplinary, free event featuring artists, musicians, and performers who work in the service industry. Service is broadly defined to include food and hospitality, education, sex work, etc. We manifest inclusive queer femme spaces that are both accessible and compensate everyone involved in its production.

Co-collaboration with Peach Kander, supported by City Artists Corp Grants (New York Foundation for the Arts).

Visual-text installation documenting the intimacy of ritual and mediated distance. Co-collaboration with Noonside (Alessia Arregui & Gloria Duan).

Cast(e): keeping it a century (2019)

Performance piece and healing ritual. Cast(e): Keeping It A Century is in direct conversation with Hip Hop, Contemporary Art and with what Dr. Joy DeGruy terms Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome.

Conceived by interdisciplinary painter Barber for Omaha Under the Radar at Petshop.

Interactive voice installation centered on the Amazon Echo inviting participants to read poetry to the human workers who perform the invisible task of transcribing the utterances people say to their Alexa AI assistants. It has showed in the group exhibitions Failsafe (Gallery 114) and http//www: a birthday celebration (Contemporary Carnation), both in Portland, OR.
